Members of several Waves teams came out to support the Nashoba Valley Special Olympics 2008 Field Day in the spring. Whether working as partners of the NVSO athletes or just helping out with the hitting station, the Waves were able to make a contribution in their first time out at this event. Thanks to NVSO for allowing us to participate!!

Members of the Waves 12U team are shown after a recent practice stocking baskets with food donations - provided by all four of the Waves teams - to support local families in need during the 2007 Thanksgiving holiday. Back row: Stephanie, Breanne and Juliana. Front row: Alexa, Amy, Kara, Katie, Emily and Olivia.

In August of 2006, the Waves repeated their 2005 equipment drive, this time to benefit the Lowell chapter of Girls, Inc. In the second year of the Waves of Giving program, both the 14U and 16U teams collected equipment and then donated it to the Girls, Inc. kids on the same day that they ran a clinic and game for the girls. We're thrilled that the girls drove the bulk of this effort amongst themselves with minimal coach/parent involvement. Great job girls! We're proud of you all!!
