In 2005, the Waves took on more than just softball. We established the Waves of Giving program, with the intent to give our players the opportunity to donate their time and efforts to help the world around them, even if just in some small way. In 2005, we started by providing sporting goods equipment and school supplies to the needy children of Afghanistan. The equipment and supplies were shipped directly to Lt. Col. Mike Lennon (owner of the Nashoba Valley Veterinary Hospital in Westford and shown in picture below) in support of the US Armed Forces humanitarian efforts. We're proud of the effort put forth by the 14U Waves in 2005 and continue to look forward to big things from all of our Waves teams in the future, continuing the tradition that the Waves are about more than just softball. We thank each and every person or organization that contributed to the success of this effort in any way - great or small.
