September 2007 - The Waves organization is pleased to announce the addition of Kristen Mahoney, 2006 Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Year, as an assistant coach for the 16U team. Kristen is eager to apply her enthusiasm, knowledge and playing experience towards the development of the Waves players. As a four-year starter for the University of Massachusetts Lowell, Kristen successfully led her team to a Northeast-10 Conference Championship. Kristen graduated from UMass Lowell in 2007 as the holder of school records for most career wins, strikeouts, and shutouts. In 2006, she was named Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Year. Other honors include being named a three-time selection to the NE-10 All-Conference Team, a three-time selection to the Northeast All-Region Team and two-time selection to the NE-10 All-Academic Team. Kristen has been giving private pitching lessons for the last six years in addition to running all-position camps at the university. She is currently an assistant coach on the UMass Lowell softball team. The Waves are thrilled and lucky to have her with us and look forward to the positive impact she is sure to make on our players.
